Supersports Vietnam is a prominent retailer under GTF Co., Ltd and part of the Central Retail Group. Originally founded in Thailand in 1997, the brand has grown to be one of Vietnam's leading sports resellers and distributors.

Supersports operates both multi-brand retail outlets and standalone concept stores for brands suck as Crocs, Skechers, etc. With over two decades of experience, their product range spans sports apparel, footwear, accessories, and equipment, serving everyone from professional athletes to casual fitness enthusiasts.

CHALLENGE

In Vietnam, and across many rapidly developing Southeast Asian markets, address structures follow a strict multi-level hierarchy that Shopify’s default fields simply cannot accommodate. For a major retailer like Supersports, this misalignment created a ripple effect of operational friction, ranging from customer confusion at checkout to high rates of abandoned carts.

The challenge was further intensified by frequent administrative restructuring. With provinces merging and districts being reshuffled, Supersports faced several critical bottlenecks:

  • The "moving target" of addresses: Shoppers often remember former district names rather than newly updated ones, leading to errors in address selection.

  • Manual verification overload: The fulfillment team had to spend hours manually correcting data to prevent shipments from being misrouted.

  • Inconsistent data: Incorrect Zip Codes entered by customers frequently disrupted synchronization with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

SOLUTION

To overcome these hurdles, Supersports implemented Qikify Checkout Customizer, transforming a generic checkout into a seamless, localized experience.   • Smart "old district" mapping: A dedicated field allows customers to select familiar former district names. The system then silently maps these selections to the correct, updated Wards and Communes, ensuring 100% accuracy without confusing the user.

  • Automated Zip code enforcement: Based on the selected Province or City, the correct Postal Code is automatically populated and force-locked. This prevents manual entry errors and guarantees data integrity for downstream fulfillment.

  • Dynamic, cascading fields: Separate inputs for Province, District, and Ward ensure a familiar sequence for Vietnamese shoppers, while custom branding keeps the experience consistent with the Supersports identity.
